I've been the official organizer of ACX SLC (the Salt Lake City meetup for Astral Codex Ten) since April 2023. (This guy led it, well imo, for 5+ years, but then his software business got too successful or something.) Frankly, organizing it did a lot for my self-esteem, so I'm glad to have got the opportunity. I do have a little flair for organizing, I think, though I'm fairly introverted. The rationality community--and its spawn, like tpot--and the local friends I've made--it has all meant a lot to me.
